Being Indian and young too

Indian, the growing young country of the world economy today. India is being called a young country as we have the most young manpower in the world and the world is looking towards us to provide a skilled and hardworking manpower for the next century. We are yes fully equipped with the manpower, at the same time are we really looking towards what we will be providing to the world economy. The manpower is there yes, at the same time, is this manpower skilled enough to face the challenges of the world economy today. I got the chance of going to some engineering and MBA colleges as a part of my profile. Being a trainer you need to go all the places, when I interacted with the students who are tomorrows engineers and management tycoons, I went into a straight thought that, are we really ready? The students are just like robots they know what is there in the text books, at the same time they are least trained on what the market requires. The youth is not able to represent what it has in terms of knowledge. We are considered the most brainy guys throughout the world, we have given so much to this world and today our youth is aimless, in terms of what they want to achieve. Being an Indian I am proud of what my country has achieved in the past 6 to 7 decades, at the same time I am worried whether we will be able to continue the same trend

We are no doubt the largest manpower suppliers to the world, at the same time, we need to look into this matter of growing our youth in terms of facing the challenges and train them on all the aspects of what it takes to achieve your dreams. We are opening so many colleges and just giving plain degrees to the students and when they come into market they are not able to sustain the pressure of the marketplace as that is whole new world out there. We desperately need to look into this matter. Our leaders they are just busy in making money and power by just opening up some shops they call colleges and these shops are selling degrees to whomsoever comes. We need to check on the aptitude and the capability of the person who is doing that degree. It is now an alarming situation for the youth of this great country that they start taking their decisions in terms of what career field they want to choose. Making everybody an engineer, doctor, or MBA is not possible. There are so many fields open today, but the parents of this country are still living in that age where they just want to see a degree in the hands of their child, irrespective of the fact whether he will be able to do justice with that degree or not. We are not considering the fact that this situation is making youth go into the states of depression and anxiety at a very young age. There are so many cases of suicide happening every time the results of an examination are out. The youth is getting depressed by the pressure of competition in the market at the same time our youth has that much capability that they can decide what is wrong and right for them, they just need some guidance. How can any parent decide what his child can do, as the capability of a child is his individual strength. No one can choose or decide anybody else future or fate. Every person has the right to make his own destiny the way he wants without being pressurized from the dreams of their parents. Give them some space, that is being a parent, forcing your dreams on them is being a autocrat. The youth of India today is so confused in terms of what he should as what he wants to do is totally different from what he is doing. This raises the issue that whether this statement of being a young country really applies to us or not?
